Sensor Explanation: How the Sonar sensor it self works

Printer-friendly version

The sonar sensor sends out very high or low frequencies sound and so sound can reflect off objects and the sensor then has very sensitive microphone meant only to pick up the same sound that it lets off. it then does some math by how long it took the sound to come back to it and what it sounds like that then uses that info and gives you out a number or the distance of an object.
