Lesson: Clone EV3 - Turning with My Blocks

The goal of this lesson is create a useful My Block. Students will learn how to create a My Block that lets them take inputs based on measurements with a protractor. Students will also practice creating a My Block with parameters (inputs and outputs).

Students will be able to:

  1. Explain the purpose of a My Block
  2. Explain how parameters make My Blocks more useful and EV3-G more efficient
  3. Create a My Block with parameters to control a robot's turning movement based on desired angle of turn and speed
  4. Use a parameterized My Block in an EV3-G program to control a robot's movement based on desired distance, turning and speed inputs
