Attached is the PROPOSED (OSPI approval in progress) CTE Science Course Equivalency Framework for STEM+CS Robotics 101.  Also attached is the model CTE Leadership Equivalency documents for FIRST LEGO League (FLL) Support/Community Outreach as a leadership activities. 

The Science Course Equivalency STEM+CS Robotics 101 Framework is based on the STEM Robotics 101 EV3 curriculum on this site and this current revision incorporates the new Washington State CTE Framework Template and CTE Leadership Standards, the Common Core Standards for Math and English Language Arts, the Next Generation Science Standards, the new Washington Computer Science Standards and a mapping of FLL's three components to the 21st Century Skills. This framework is specific to the LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3 platform as it uses the embedded Data Logging capability for scientific data gathering and analysis.

In addition to the NGSS Performance Expectations, this framework also includes the NGSS Science and Engineering Practices, Disciplinary Core Ideas, and Crosscutting Concepts covered on a Unit-by-Unit basis.


This is Framework contains all the units, lessons, competencies and standards that MUST be taught to offer a high school science credit for STEM Robotics 101.  The model Leadership Activity may be used or another locally developed LE may be adopted.  Each school/district needs to modify this framework and LE to reflect the actual:

> Leadership Activities and Performance Assessments that WILL be used,

> Leadership Standards and Competencies that WILL be demonstrated,

> Any local content that WILL be ADDED to the framework.

on a unit-by-unit basis. 

The totality of Leadership Standards covered should be reflected in the 21st Century Skills Alignment table at the bottom of this framework.
