This lesson has two resources.
The primary instructional materials are the PowerPoint and EV3 Code files from EV3Lessons.
The PowerPoint contains all the information needed for the lesson.
- Use the PowerPoint to understand what parallel beams are and how to make them
- The next slides explain that in the EV3 software, you cannot during two copies of the same My Block at the same time using parallel beams.
- Have student identify pitfalls of using parallel beams (e.g. two beams giving conflicting instructions to the same motor).
Provide a challenge for students that requires two tasks to be performed at the same time.
