This lesson has two resources.

The primary instructional materials are the PowerPoint and EV3 Code files from EV3Lessons.

The PowerPoint contains all the information needed for the lesson.  

1. Use the PowerPoint to understand what parallel beams are and how to make them
2. The next slides explain that in the EV3 software, you cannot during two copies of the same My Block at the same time using parallel beams.
3. Have student identify pitfalls of using parallel beams (e.g. two beams giving conflicting instructions to the same motor).

Provide a challenge for students that requires two tasks to be performed at the same time.
