"Data Hubs"

Submitted by Randy Steele on 22 July, 2011 - 11:57
Overview:
The goal of this lesson is to explore the use of Data Hubs, the equivalent of passing parameters in the Lego MINDSTORMS NXT-G program. Students will work through the "Data Hubs" video lesson from the "NXT Video Trainer 2.0" product from Carnegie Mellon University's Robotics Academy.
Objectives:

Student will be able to:

1. Write an NXT-G program for a robot incorporating data hubs and data wires

2. Write an NXT-G program for a robot incorporating the Random Block

3. Write an NXT-G program for a robot incorporating the Sensor Block

4. Control the response of a robot through the NXT-G Move Block data hub with data wires fromĀ  the Random and Sensor Blocks

5. Control the real-time response of a robot using data wires and Loop Blocks

6. Explain the role of each plug on the data hubs of the Move, Random and Sensor Blocks
