Overview:
The goal of this lesson is to introduce the concept of My Blocks - the EV3-G equivalent of a sub-routine. This lesson uses the "My Blocks" video from EV3 Trainer (a.k.a. Introduction to Programming LEGO® MINDSTORMS® EV3) from Carnegie Mellon University's Robotics Academy (Note: this lessons is not available in the free online version of the product).
Objectives:

1. Create a My Block from a section of an EV3-G program
2. Use one or more My Blocks in complex EV3-G program
3. Manipulate the Custom Palette to manage My Blocks
