Paul Candler: Clone of EV3 - Autonomous Data Logging "Gyro Sensor Investigation"

Submitted by Paul Candler on 13 January, 2019 - 20:17
Overview:
The Goal of this lesson is to help students gain understanding of autonomous data logging, and how it can improve the quality and convenience of collecting data for a variety of scientific experiment. This lesson uses the "Gyro Sensor Investigation" video from EV3 Trainer (a.k.a. Introduction to Programming LEGO® MINDSTORMS® EV3) from Carnegie Mellon University's Robotics Academy (Note: this lessons is not available in the free online version of the product). If this resource is not available, the included "Data Logging Turns" lesson from EV3Lessons.com cam be used.
Objectives:
Student will be able to:
  1. Explain the role of each parameter in the Data Logging block
  2. Write an EV3-G program with embedded Data Logging
  3. Create and run an EV3-G experiment with the Data Logging block
  4. Upload, examine, anaylze and manipulate data to an EV3 Experiment
