Overview:
This lesson provides an overview of the components of a sUAS (Small Unmanned Aerial System) and safety procedures.
Objectives:
Students will be able to:
- Identify the components of a sUAS
- Identify and describe the roles of the 3-person UAS team
- Identify and describe the components of a UAV (drone)
- Explain preflight safety procedures
- Explain battery safety procedures
- Define line of sight and explain its importance
- Define and describe the operation and purpose the compass and GPS
