This lesson provides an overview of the challenges involved in UAV operations, particularly outdoors within the National Air System.
Objectives:
Students will be able to:
- Explain the challenges of operating UAVs
- Identify and described the categories of UAV operations
- Compare and contrast the operating rules from recreational and civil (commercial) UAV operations
- List and describe air space restrictions for UAVs
- Describe emergency situations and what to do should they occur
- Explain the resources available through the Know Before You Fly Program
- Describe the challenges of FPV operations
