Lesson: "Move until Dark"

Overview:
The goal of this lesson is to explore the use of the NXT light sensor and understand the parameters of the Wait-until-Light block. Students will learn to calculate thresholds as they work through the "Moving until Dark" video lesson from the "NXT Video Trainer 2.0" product from Carnegie Mellon University's Robotics Academy. The NXT Sound block will also be utilized.
Objectives:

Students will be able to:

1. Write an NXT-G program for a robot to respond to the light sensor

2. Control the response of a robot through the NXT-G Wait-for-Light block parameters

3. Explain the role of each parameter in the Wait-for-Light block configuration panel

4. Calculate the required Light Sensor threshold for a given set of conditions

5. Write an NXT-G program for a robot to produces an audible response

6. Explain the role of each parameter in the Sound block configuration panel
