Lesson: EV3 - Proportional Gyro Turns

Overview: 
The goal of this lesson is revisit the gyro sensor's problem with lag. Students will parameterize the offset technique used earlier and then learn a proportional programming technique to help reduce lag and improve robot performance and reliability with the gyro sensor.
Objectives: 

Students will be able to:

  1. Describe the gyro sensors problems with lag
  2. Explain why offsets and proportional control can help reduce gyro lag
  3. Write EV3-G program to control turning thorough parameterized offsets
  4. Write EV3-G program to control turning thorough proportional control with the gyro sensor
