Lesson: EV3 - Color Candy Sorter

Overview:
What’s more fun than candy? Exactly. This unit arose out of my attempt to find a fun way to teach my students how to program with switches. By using multiple cases for a switch, students can build and program a color candy sorting robot that can sort as many different colors as the color sensor can detect (usually 6).
Objectives:
  1. Work collaboratively to build a sorting machine
  2. Learn how to read the color sensor in color mode
  3. Learn how to program using a switch block with multiple cases
