- Have they recorded accurate readings using reflective light and color?
- Have them write the answers to the discussion questions from the videos or monitor their discussions
- Have them write up their program in pseudo-code and explain it to you before they being programming or similarly they can draw a sketch of their candy sorting machine before they begin building.
