Instructional Material: The Wave Planning Template
This template is used to help plan "The Wave" group activity. Attach a small sticky to each robot, numbered one through "n" (1 through 11 in the attached template example). The attached PowerPoint template can then used to plan each incremental move for each robot by projecting this template, discussing the desired formation, then marking up the template to show the required action of each robot. For example, an arrow can be drawn for each box showing the direction of movement, then a time delay, power setting, number of rotations, etc. Have students build and test their "Wave" on maneuver at time, using a fresh template for each.
