The formative assessment for consists of asking students questions along the way:
- Why are we using linkages?
Possible answer: Because we are trying to produce movement that is not rotational.
- Ask students to show you their work along the way and at any given time they should be able to demonstrate what linkage they are attempting to use and how they are attempting to use it. If they can’t do this much, then it might be time to take a step back with the student team and re-assess.
