Lesson: 1 EV3 - Advanced Gyro Sensor Techniques

Overview: 
The goal of this lesson is revisit the gyro sensor's problems with drift and lag. Students will learn programming techniques to help reduce drift and improve robot performance and reliability with the gyro sensor.
Objectives:

  1. Describe the gyro sensors problems with drift and lag
  2. Explain why calibration help reduce gyro drift
  3. Describe different techniques for calibrating the gyro sensor
  4. Write EV3-G program to calibrate a gyro sensor
