Lesson: "Data Types and Display"
Overview:
The goal of this lesson is to introduce the concept of Data Types in the Lego MINDSTORMS NXT-G program. Students will work through the "Data Types and Display" video lesson from the "NXT Video Trainer 2.0" product from Carnegie Mellon University's Robotics Academy.
Objectives:
Student will be able to:
1. Explain the different data types supported by NXT-G
2. Identify and correct mismatched data types in NXT-G
3. Explain the function of the Number-to-Text Block
4. Explain the role of each plug on the data hub of the Display Block
5. Write an NXT-G program for a robot incorporating a data wire driven Display Block
6. Control the real-time Display response of a robot using data wires and Loop Blocks
